About Us

Whether you are making arrangements for a funeral today, or just looking to take care of the future, it is important that you have the information you need to make clear and rational decisions. We want to assist you in this process by giving you complete and honest information about funeral services. It is our desire to meet the needs of you and your family. We welcome your questions and will take the time to answer any that you may have.

You can count on us to be thorough in our explanations, whether they concern prices, procedures or policies. We will take the time to explain all of your options.

We are committed to the residents of Klickitat and Skamania counties and the entire Mid-Columbia area. We strive to serve our neighbors with the utmost care and compassion. It is our goal to give each family individual attention, and guide them in creating a service as unique as the person they love.

Our Staff

Derek and Domonique have retired after a long and rewarding career in funeral service. They will always be thankful for the relationships they have made throughout the years.

Victoria Lara

Victoria, previously from the Portland area, recently moved to the Gorge and began working with us at the end of July, 2018. As a licensed funeral director and embalmer, she is a great asset to the team. Her kind and upbeat attitude makes everyone around her happier. Victoria and her family enjoy all the outdoor activities the area can offer and love to go on adventures together.

John Bilderback

Assistant

Jon mainly works at Columbia Hills Memorial Chapel in Goldendale. He is instrumental in assisting people and keeping the facility in top shape. Jon helps on first calls, memorial and funeral services and also sets headstones for the families who order them from us. Jon has two daughters, whom he loves to spend time with.

Tatjana (Tasha) Hardman

Office administrator

Tatjana was born here in the Columbia Gorge and although she spent much of her life traveling the country she settled in her home town. While looking into career options that center around community and compassion, caring for loved ones who have passed and their families seemed like a natural fit and quickly became a passion. Although she wears many hats her main position is office administrator for Gardner Funeral Home. Tatjana and Victoria work closely with the community in White Salmon as well as the surrounding communities to ensure families have the guidance and compassion needed to navigate their journey through grief and planning. When she is not working Tatjana can be found hiking, skiing or at home with her many, many pets.
